What is your role as Senior Pastor?

I was appointed to Monticello in June of 2006 and have been serving United Methodist churches since 1987. I give oversight to the total ministry of the church. I serve as the spiritual leader of the congregation and facilitate a Christ-centered ministry that matures the community of faith and empowers the congregation to transform our community and world with the love of Jesus Christ.

What were you doing before you were a minister?

I grew up in the Hartford City, IN area, where I graduated from Blackford High School. I am a 1984 graduate of Indiana University with a degree in elementary education and a 1987 graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky.

Family life?

I am married to my wife, Bootsie, who is a partner in ministry with me. We also have a son, Benjamin, who is currently in middle school.
