What is your role at the church?

I began working as the associate pastor at MUMC in June of 2007. I work with the youth group (grades 6-12). Our youth group is called L.I.F.E. (Living in Faith Everyday) we meet Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30. This worship service is for youth who like to hang-out, loud music, and fun. It is my hope that our youth will own their faith and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. As a pastor at MUMC, I hope that through my preaching, teaching, fellowship, and having a good time, people will want to sharpen their minds and humble their hearts and grow closer to God.

What are your hobbies and interests other than church?

If there is good music playing then I am usually a pretty happy guy. My favorite bands are, Wilco, Sufjan Stevens, Damien Jurado, Kings of Leon, and Johnny Cash.

I also love baseball. The St. Louis Cardinals are my favorite team and Albert Pujols is my favorite athlete.

I also enjoy playing my guitar and singing.

Family life?

I am married to my beautiful wife, Krista. We have a son named Elliott. A perfect day for me is a day spent with my family.

What is your advice for the people at MUMC?

In all you do strive to follow Christ. God expects big things from you and wants you to change the world for his glory.
